Fede Aguado and Osi Martínez represent the purest essence of Madrid Street blues. They are two Minstrels in the 21st century who without losing sight of the most ancient tradition of country blues, know how to transmit and bring its music with such success that they get immediately the total involvement and complicity of the audiences.
Fede Aguado; vocalist, guitar and dobro (resophonic guitar), is a bluesman in the strict sense of the word and also one of the best blues performers who is able to sing in Cervantes’ language. The use of great doses of irony, originality, humour and reflection towards life are found in the stories of his lyrics that leave no one indifferent because he always says something and knows how to say it.
Osi Martinez, Harmonic, is another old acquaintance in the music scene since 1989. The intensity with which he blows his Marine Band, as a castaway, who clings to his raft, communicates, transmits and spread the feeling flowing from the inner, and that's blues, we must not beat about the bush.
Authenticity, honesty, magic and passion flowing from these two blues brothers live music has its climax in the live performance. Both are very well known and harmonize perfectly. Twenty years on top of the stage and three great albums to his name support them. The first one in 1999 "Con el corazón en la mano" in my opinion one of the blues albums sung in Spanish to pay homage, the second one recorded in 2007, "Dos balas perdidas" and the latest in 2014 "Veinte Años no es nada".
Fede and Osi return to Hondarribia Blues Festival to celebrate its tenth anniversary and to play his now famous Blues dedicated to this city.
