LA TESTAPAZZA is a Italian-Catalan blue duet. Mattia Sinigaglia and Pol " Paolino" Jubany met together in winter 2013 while they frequented the Barcelona music scene, immediately there is an understanding between the two musicians, who share their passion for the different styles of music from around the world, travelling and street art. The project takes shape next summer when both get under way with a pair of guitars, two backpacks and empty pockets. They go across Italy and playing in the villages, streets they start creating a repertoire of melodies. Back in Barcelona, in schools, conservatories, recordings and performances they consolidate their peculiar acoustic sound. In February they win the V Barcelona Blues Contest. The duet repertoire is always evolving and it explores divers territories: from Delta Blues classics to Cuban sounds and rhythms to manouche jazz, including traditional Italian, Spanish and American melodies.
