Star Blues

The group StarBlues was born in the town of Ordizia (Goierri) in September 2010. It was formed by two of the current members: Jon Barreros (Ordizia) as singer and guitarist, and Urko Ruiz de Apodaka (Ordizia) as bass player, having completed, both of them, with their previous musical projects.

After contacting a drummer, they began to play versions of classic Blues-Rockers, as well as compositions by Jon Barreros. After a short period of rehearsing, they decided that to fatten the musical base, they would look for someone to contribute keyboards and that is how Yon Labayen (Tolosa) was put up today, consolidating the group with a quartet format.

Three years later, the one that until then had been the drummer of the group had to say goodbye to him for labor reasons and this is how Fermin Etxeberria (Tolosa) joined the drummer with whom StarBlues would finish consolidating till the date.

From then until today and after composing 15 own songs, the group decides to record their first self-produced studio work and with the backing of the record label Gaztelupeko Hotsak where, according to the group criteria, are recorded eight of the most suitable songs for a study work.
